Description
The Midwest Industries MCTAR-19G2 is a Gen2 two-piece drop-in quad rail handguard purpose-built for rifle-length AR-15 platforms. Machined from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum in a black finish, this handguard delivers an extremely solid lock-up at a lightweight 12.9 oz. Installation is truly drop-in – no gunsmithing required, it mounts just like the factory plastic handguards.
Measuring 12″ in rifle length, the Gen2 handguard provides a continuous top Picatinny rail that flows seamlessly from the upper receiver for a clean, uninterrupted optics and back-up iron sight mounting surface. The quad rail layout adds full 1913 Picatinny rails down both sides and the bottom for lights, lasers, foregrips, and other accessories. Four integrated anti-rotation QD sling swivel sockets accept push-button QD swivels at multiple positions for ambidextrous sling setups.
The MCTAR-19G2 is engineered for broad platform compatibility – it is 100% compatible with most gas piston systems as well as standard direct-impingement AR-15 builds.
