SST (Super Shock Tipped): Combines deadly Hornady performance with a higher ballistic coefficient than most hunting bullets. Hornady engineers started using the proven design of the InterLock bullet. The addition of a sharp, pointed tip would be required to create the faster, flatter shooting bullets hunters wanted. Hornady engineers then tackled the problem common to many tipped bullets – that of too-rapid expansion. With its jacket strengthened in critical areas, the SST delivers controlled expansion for superior weight retention. That means it delivers a massive shock for a clean, quick kill.

Premium polymer tip – The sharp point increases the SST’s ballistic coefficient, making it faster and flatter shooting. On impact, the tip also initiates controlled expansion at all velocities.
