Description
The Beretta Snap Caps are purpose-built dummy rounds that let you safely practice the full manual of operations on your 20 Gauge shotgun without live ammunition in the chamber. These all-plastic snap caps feature an internal spring-loaded primer cushion that absorbs the impact of the firing pin every time the action closes, protecting the firing pin, extractor and chamber from wear during repeated dry-fire drills. Whether you are running new-manipulation exercises, working a malfunction sequence, or simply breaking in a new shotgun, these dummy rounds let the action cycle the way it would with a live shell while eliminating the risk of an accidental discharge.
Designed and quality-controlled by Beretta, the 20 Gauge snap caps are dimensioned to mimic the length and headspace of a standard 20 Gauge shotshell so they feed and chamber reliably in semi-auto, pump and break-action shotguns chambered for the gauge. The clear plastic construction makes it obvious at a glance that these are inert training rounds, helping prevent them from being confused with live ammunition. Sold as a 2-pack, they are an inexpensive addition to any shotgunner’s range bag and pair naturally with Beretta’s matching 12-gauge snap caps for shooters who run multiple gauges.
These snap caps are intended for dry-fire practice, action manipulation drills, trigger control exercises, and safe storage and function checks of unloaded firearms. They are not live ammunition and contain no primer, propellant or projectile.
