The Cimarron El Malo 2 is a single-action revolver chambered for both 357 Magnum and 38 Special, purpose-built for Cowboy Action competition shooters and old-west revolver enthusiasts. Built on Cimarron’s classic Pre-War frame profile, this configuration captures the look of the original 1896-1940 Single Action Army pattern with its traditional six-shot cylinder and time-tested single-action lockwork.
This El Malo 2 wears a 4.75″ octagon barrel finished in deep blued and paired with a Color Case Hardened frame, then dressed with smooth Walnut grips for an authentic period-correct appearance. At roughly 2.5 lbs unloaded, it balances comfortably for both fast competitive strings and casual trail carry, making it a versatile addition to any SAA-style collection.
