Description
The Comstock Armory MBL is a full-size muzzle brake purpose-built for .308 Winchester / 7.62 barrels, cut on the standard 5/8×24 thread pitch. The body is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and given a Black Nitride finish for corrosion resistance and long service life under hard use.
Designed as part of the Plan B suppressor mounting ecosystem, the MBL pulls double duty as a recoil-reducing muzzle brake and a suppressor-ready mount. Run it bare for noticeably reduced muzzle rise, or step up to a Plan B compatible suppressor with no separate adapter needed. The brake is rotationally symmetric, so it does not require shimming or timing during installation – torque it on and go.
Functional specs include 5/8×24 threads for drop-on fit on common .308/7.62 barrels, 13/16 in wrench flats for easy install and removal, an overall length of 2 in (adding roughly 1.36 in past the muzzle), and a net weight of 1.8 oz. It is a clean fit-up for any host using the standard .308/7.62 5/8×24 thread pattern, including most AR-10 / .308 AR platform barrels.
