The Evolution Gun Works Mauser 98 Large Ring Picatinny Rail is a precision-machined scope base designed to add a rigid Picatinny optic platform to commercial-pattern Mauser 98 rifles fitted with the large ring action. CNC-machined from domestic 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in matte black anodizing, this lightweight rail weighs just 2 oz while providing a solid, repeatable mounting surface that accepts both Picatinny and Weaver scope rings.
Built with a 20 MOA forward cant, the rail extends the effective elevation adjustment of your scope, giving long-range shooters additional dial-up travel for extreme distance work. Full-width MIL-STD-1913 cross slots run the entire length of the rail, allowing maximum flexibility when positioning rings or accessories. The base measures 6.67″ overall with a 3.825″ spread and a low-profile 0.4″ height above the receiver.
Installation is straightforward with the included 6-48 x 1/4″ mounting screws and T-10 Torx bit; EGW recommends 20 in/lbs of torque for a secure, no-slip fit. Proudly made in the USA, this rail is a clean, lightweight upgrade for bringing modern optics to a classic Mauser 98 large-ring rifle.
