The Faxon Firearms MuzzLok SS Plan B Flash Hider is a stainless steel muzzle device built for rifle shooters who also run a suppressor. Built around Faxon’s proprietary MuzzLok quick-detach interface and the Plan B (HUB-compatible) mounting pattern, this flash hider lets you shoot unsuppressed with a reduced flash signature and then drop a compatible Plan B / HUB-pattern suppressor onto the same barrel without timing shims or crush washers. The unit carries a durable black nitride coating for long service life and is threaded 1/2×28 with a .250″ bore optimized for .223 Remington / 5.56x45mm NATO cartridges. Made in the USA.
The .250″ bore makes this hider the correct fit for typical 5.56 / .223 rifles, where the bore diameter is matched to the projectile for effective flash suppression at rifle pressures. The 1/2×28 thread pitch is the standard for AR-15-pattern barrels, allowing direct installation on any barrel already cut for a common A2-style flash hider. Construction is in stainless steel with a black nitride finish that resists corrosion and wear under hard use, and the hider installs without the crush washers or shims that traditional timing-required muzzle devices demand.
