Description
The Guntec USA GT-12MLK is a 12″ ultra-lightweight free-float handguard built around the AR-15 platform. Machined from T6 aluminum and finished in anodized black, this slim-profile handguard trims front-end weight on rifle-length builds without giving up the rigidity you want for accurate follow-up shots.
The handguard is built around the Magpul M-LOK attachment system, giving you direct accessory mounting slots along the sides and bottom for lights, grips, bipods, and rail panels. A monolithic top rail runs the full 12″ length, providing a continuous mounting surface for optics, back-up iron sights, and laser units. The free-float design comes together with Guntec’s included proprietary barrel nut; the handguard slides over the barrel nut and locks up against the receiver with 6 screws for a rigid shooting platform.
At roughly 9.1 oz with a slim 1.34″ outer diameter, the GT-12MLK is one of the lighter full-length AR-15 handguards on the market. It is a direct-fit swap for standard rifle-length AR-15 uppers and accepts standard M-LOK accessories and compatible rail covers, making it an easy upgrade for shooters looking to modernize the front end while shaving ounces off a competition or general-purpose rifle.
