Description
The Hornady V-MAX is one of the industry’s leading varmint bullet designs, built around a streamlined polymer tip that boosts ballistic coefficient and initiates dramatic expansion on impact. This .22 caliber (.224″ diameter) reloader’s bullet weighs 55 grains and features a cannelure for secure, consistent seating in bottleneck-case applications.
Constructed with a lead core encased in a match-grade copper AMP jacket, the V-MAX delivers excellent concentricity and consistency downrange. Hornady lists this bullet at a ballistic coefficient of .255 and a sectional density of .157, producing flat trajectories and reliable terminal performance. The polymer tip is engineered to expand even at velocities as low as 1600 fps, making it a top choice for coyote, prairie dog, and other varmint hunting loads in centerfire .22 caliber cartridges.
Each box contains 100 projectiles, ready for the handloader’s bench.
