The Howard Leight Impact Sport is an electronic shooting earmuff in a MultiCam Black finish, designed to deliver reliable hearing protection while keeping shooters aware of their surroundings. It carries a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 22 dB in both powered and unpowered modes.
Built-in directional microphones amplify ambient sound so range commands and conversation come through clearly, while impulse noises from gunfire are instantly suppressed to safe listening levels. The muff features an automatic 4-hour shutoff to conserve battery life and an integrated AUX input jack for audio from external devices.
Power comes from 2 AAA batteries, providing up to approximately 350 hours of runtime, and the muff delivers stereo sound for accurate directional awareness. Low-profile earcups keep the muff clear of long-gun stocks for unimpeded shouldering, while an adjustable headband secures the fit across head sizes.
A compact folding design lets the Impact Sport stow neatly in a range bag or pack. At roughly 15 ounces, this is a comfortable, all-day solution for the range, hunting, or competition use.
