The Iver Johnson 1911A1 is a Government-size single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .38 Super. Built on the classic 1911 platform, it pairs a 5″ barrel with a 9-round detachable magazine and carries a bright hard chrome finish over a steel frame and slide. Overall length runs 8.5″ for a standard full-size Government feel in the hand.
Sighting follows traditional military-pattern layout with a GI-style front sight and a fixed rear sight – a no-fuss, duty-ready setup designed to hold up to hard use. The grip frame wears smooth Black Pearl synthetic grips that contrast cleanly against the chrome slide and fill the hand for solid recoil control with .38 Super loads.
As a true 1911A1-pattern pistol, controls sit in their original locations: a frame-mounted thumb safety, grip safety, slide stop, and push-button magazine release. The .38 Super chambering delivers flat trajectories and strong downrange energy, making this pistol right at home for range, defensive, and competitive shooting roles. One 9-round magazine is included.
