Description
The Ka-Bar Short is a compact fixed-blade fighting/utility knife in the classic KA-BAR tradition, scaled down for everyday carry and field use. It carries a 5.25″ clip-point blade forged from 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel with a black finish and a partially serrated edge that handles both push cuts and rough cutting chores like rope, webbing, and cordage.
Built for hard use, the Short KA-BAR uses the same proven blade geometry as the full-size fighting knife. The 0.165″ blade stock gives the knife real backbone for heavier work, while the tapered clip profile keeps the tip ready for detail tasks. A 12-gauge commercial-grade carbon steel guard protects the hand at the front of the grip.
The handle is black Kraton G, a non-slip synthetic that holds up to heat, cold, and moisture far better than traditional wood. Total overall length is 9.25″, and this version ships with a hard plastic sheath for belt carry right out of the box. Made in the USA by Ka-Bar Knives.
