The Kaw Valley Precision 17-4 SS AR-15 CAR Spring is a drop-in carbine-length buffer spring built for the AR-15 platform. Machined from 17-4 stainless steel and given a passivated finish for corrosion resistance, KVP rates this spring for 10,000 cycles, well beyond the duty life of typical carbon-steel carbine springs for shooters who log heavy round counts through their rifles.
This CAR Spring is intended as a direct replacement for the standard carbine buffer spring in 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, and 300 Blackout AR-15s, and it also works well for tuning pistol-caliber carbines. KVP recommends pairing it with their matching 4.3 oz stainless steel carbine buffer for a complete, longer-lasting buffer stack.
