Description
The Midwest Industries MCTAR-18G2 is a Generation 2 two-piece drop-in quad-rail handguard built specifically for AR-15 rifles running a mid-length gas system. Designed as a direct replacement for factory plastic handguards, this drop-in installs in minutes using common hand tools with no permanent modifications required to the host rifle.
The four-rail quad-rail layout delivers full-length 1913 Picatinny rail space along the top, bottom, and both sides for mounting weapon lights, lasers, bipods, foregrips, and other accessories. A continuous top rail flows seamlessly into the upper receiver rail, eliminating any gap at the receiver junction and providing a clean, optic-ready mounting surface. The two-piece clamp design locks solidly to the factory delta ring and round handguard cap for a tight, rattle-free fit.
Measuring 9 inches and sized for the mid-length AR-15 platform, the Gen2 handguard integrates four anti-rotation QD sling swivel sockets positioned along the rail for fast, ambidextrous sling attachment. The handguard is machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in hard-coat anodized black, delivering a lightweight yet exceptionally durable platform built to stand up to hard range and field use.
Proudly Made in the USA by Midwest Industries, the Gen2 quad-rail offers an immediate upgrade in rail real estate, mounting versatility, and overall rigidity for any mid-length AR-15 carbine.
