The Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint is a premium .22 caliber (.224″ diameter) spitzer reloading bullet built for handloaders running ultra-high velocity varmint loads. At 50 grains with a boat tail base, this projectile is engineered for the flat trajectories, strong energy transfer, and reliable expansion varmint hunters rely on.
The Ballistic Tip’s signature polymer tip initiates expansion at extended ranges, while a gradually thickening jacket wall delivers maximum energy transfer and excellent weight retention on impact. The boat tail base improves ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift, so the bullet stays effective from close shots out to longer varmint-range engagements on prairie dogs, coyotes, and similar small game.
