The Outdoor Edge Edge-X 2-Stage Compact Sharpener is a pocket-sized blade-maintenance tool designed to keep hunting, kitchen, and EDC knives field-ready. Built around an innovative X-base of Zytel glass-filled nylon, the sharpener weighs just 1.2 oz and measures 1.6 x 3.9 x 0.7 in, so it slips into a pack, pocket, or game bag without adding bulk.
Two sharpening stages handle both resharpening and finishing. The carbide coarse blades, set at a 22-degree per side (44-degree total) angle, quickly reshape a dull edge, while the ceramic fine rods hone and refine the edge to a clean, razor-sharp finish. Four 3M rubber foot pads keep the unit planted on a bench or counter during use, and a rubberized orange TPR grip provides a secure hold.
