The Savage 220 Slug is a bolt-action 20 Gauge slug gun from Savage Arms, designed for deer hunting with a dedicated slug-shooting platform. It pairs a 22″ button-rifled barrel with a fully rifled bore for stabilized, accurate slug flight.
This configuration (item 57381) wears the Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camouflage pattern across a rugged synthetic stock equipped with Savage’s AccuFit system, which lets the shooter adjust length of pull and comb height for a personalized fit. The barreled action carries a matte stainless finish for corrosion resistance in wet weather, and the receiver is drilled and tapped with an included scope rail for straightforward optic mounting.
The 220 Slug feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 2+1 capacity (two in the magazine plus one in the chamber). The bolt action is built around a 3″ chamber that safely handles both 2-3/4″ and 3″ 20 gauge shells. At 43″ overall with a 13.75″ length of pull, the 220 Slug offers a compact, balanced platform for deer hunting.
