Description
The Savage Axis 2 Pro is a modernized bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, designed for big game, hogs, and predators. This Compact configuration is built around a left-hand action with a shortened 12.75″ length of pull, giving smaller-stature shooters and youth hunters a better-fitting, more controllable platform in the field.
A 20″ carbon-steel barrel is finished in Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote and spiral-fluted for weight savings and visual distinction. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24 for suppressor or muzzle-brake fitment and uses Savage’s thread-in headspacing system to lock in consistent accuracy shot after shot. Overall length comes in at just 39.5″ and the rifle weighs 6.8 lbs.
Internally, the proven user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you dial pull weight to your preference without removing the stock, while the redesigned bolt handle offers positive cycling in cold and wet conditions. Feeding from a detachable 4-round box magazine, the action feeds reliably and the smooth bolt throw keeps follow-up shots fast.
The molded synthetic stock wears an updated ergonomic profile and a Forest SP camouflage pattern, and a factory-installed one-piece Picatinny rail provides a rock-solid mounting platform for your optic of choice.
