The Shadow Systems Thread-On Compensator is a precision-engineered muzzle device designed specifically for the MR920, DR920, and XR920 pistols equipped with factory threaded barrels. Built to thread directly onto the existing 1/2×28 barrel, this compensator reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil for faster, more controllable follow-up shots. The thread-on design clamps onto the slide without requiring permanent fitting, and the dedicated clamping interface mates with the MR, DR, and XR slide geometry for a secure, repeatable fit.
The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in a corrosion-resistant black nDLC coating. At just 1.0″ long, 0.9″ wide, and 1.29″ tall, it adds minimal bulk and only 0.98 oz of additional weight. Installation is straightforward: thread the comp onto the barrel, tighten the clamp screw, and you’re ready to run.
