The Smith & Wesson M&P 2nd Gen M.A.G.I.C. folding knife is a tactical everyday-carry folder built around Smith & Wesson’s signature M.A.G.I.C. spring-assisted opening system. A press of the deployment mechanism sends the blade rocketing out, locking up solid against a liner lock and held in place by a separate safety lock to prevent accidental deployment in the pocket or pack.
The 3.6″ partially serrated clip point blade is ground from 4034 stainless steel and finished with a black coating for corrosion resistance and a low-glare profile. The plain-edge belly handles clean slicing tasks while the serrated forward edge chews through rope, webbing, seatbelt material, and other tough stuff.
The handle is machined from aluminum and finished in a two-tone black and gray. At 8.6″ overall and weighing just 0.475 lb, this folder carries light but feels substantial in the hand. A pocket clip keeps it ready for daily carry, and an integrated glass breaker at the pommel adds a last-resort emergency-use option.
