The Talley Picatinny Base for the Mossberg Patriot Short Action rifle converts the factory receiver’s drilled-and-tapped points into a rigid MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail ready to accept any optic with a standard Picatinny mount or a Talley ring and base combo. It is a one-piece precision-machined anodized aluminum platform finished in matte black, sized specifically for the Patriot short action footprint, and ships with the mounting screws and wrench needed for installation.
Talley has built scope-mount hardware in the USA for decades, and this rail reflects that build philosophy. A low profile keeps the optic close to the bore, the rail spans the receiver length to give a stable mounting platform, and the anodized aluminum construction resists corrosion in field use. Measuring roughly 0.95″ tall x 2.15″ wide x 8.95″ long, the base accepts red dots, traditional rifle scopes, and tactical optics that follow standard Picatinny cross-slot spacing.
Fitment: Mossberg Patriot Short Action rifles (factory receiver mounting points). The rail bolts directly to the receiver using the included hardware. This is a brand-new, current-production mount from Talley Manufacturing.
