The Taurus 856 is a compact, easy-to-carry six-shot revolver chambered in 38 Special +P. Built on a small frame with a short 2″ barrel, this double-action/single-action revolver is designed for concealed carry and personal defense while remaining comfortable to shoot at the range.
The revolver features a matte stainless steel frame and cylinder for corrosion resistance and durability, paired with attractive smooth walnut grips. The double/single-action trigger allows for rapid follow-up shots in DA mode or precise aimed fire in SA mode. Fixed front and rear sights keep the profile low and snag-free for everyday carry.
With a 6-round capacity, an overall length of approximately 6.55″, and a weight of about 22 oz, the 856 is light enough for all-day carry without sacrificing shootability. An exposed hammer supports single-action shooting and cocks easily for loading and unloading.
