The Yankee Hill Machine 6″ Rail Extension/Riser (YHM-9473) clamps to any standard Picatinny rail to add an extra 6 inches of usable rail space with a .500″ rise, giving optics, lights, lasers, and other Picatinny-compatible accessories the clearance they need above a host firearm’s front sight or gas block.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a matte black hard-coat anodized coating, this lightweight riser weighs just 2.528 oz and measures 1.25″ wide. The unit clamps to the host Picatinny rail via two screws and a single piece of aluminum that flexes to lock down on the rail slots. YHM recommends installation by a licensed gunsmith and torque to no more than 12 inch-pounds.
Designed and made in the USA, the YHM-9473 is a straightforward upgrade for AR-15s and other Picatinny-equipped rifles where a taller, longer sight plane is needed for proper optics mounting.
