The YHM Nielsen Piston is a precision suppressor piston built around the Nielsen (baffle-stack) design and chambered for .45 caliber pistol hosts. It is machined from heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel with an M16 x 1 RH thread pattern, giving it the strength and corrosion resistance needed for repeated suppressed fire while weighing just 1.4 oz.
A Nielsen piston lets the suppressor cycle on a moving baffle stack to reduce host-frame impact shift. This YHM version provides 10 adjustment points so the shooter can fine-tune the piston’s at-rest position and lock in a consistent lockup with a specific host and suppressor combination. The stainless finish pairs cleanly with most stainless pistol suppressors and booster housings.
The piston is compatible with YHM’s Booster Housing (YHM-2055) as well as many other popular pistol suppressors that use the same M16 x 1 right-hand Nielsen interface.
